is an arts magazine that explores mental health through stories, essays, poems, and other creative works. Our mission is to support the wellbeing of all people via open dialogue about mental illness, mental wellness, neuro-diversity, and the mind in the body.
Imber, the first issue of Fig:ment, is about relationships – how we relate to others and how we relate to ourselves. These things are entwined – understanding our own struggles gives us empathy for other people's while understanding other people's struggles helps us better relate to our own. When we connect to ourselves, we remember how we and others need healing, and when we connect to others, we remember we are not alone.
